the time is near!!!!

They will soon be upon us.... From all over the state... Near and far....  Sharing their fancy creations, innovative designs and eclectic collections....  SPACE INVADERS 2!!  yay!

This is one of my dream jobs.... organizing events that bring lots of creatives together!  Well, I got to do it a couple of times last year and I am honored to be able to host it again on June 18th here in Santa Barbara!

We call it 'SPACE INVADERS' because, well..... we transform my work space and parking lot of my studio into a fabulous, crafty experience that would not exist without so many wonderful creators!  ...And because I love the game and those little critters.  They are so cute.  I still play it at home too.  True story!

Well this year is going to be tons of fun with over 25 different vendors...so far!!  Some of the same designers as last year and some new ones too!!  There will be artists, jewelry designers, doll makers, vintage collectors, seamstresses, photographers, cupcake makers, and more!  We will also be hosting some of the lovely and talented designers from Etsy SB group too!

There will also be a raffle to benefit the Heart 2 Hand art fund! More info here.  Tellin' ya... last year the people who won were getting away with a bag full of goodies!  Thank you to everyone who donated and participated.

happiness is a mini garden...

yay for mini gardens!  true happiness in watching things grow.  and if I don't kill them,.... i'm one happy chola!  This is my continued little shit garden I got rollin' here.  I love it!  Its made from old cans, little birdhouses i've collected, boxes and doll parts of course!  Everything needs a doll part.

'BROKEN HEARTS ARE FOR ASSHOLES' Group Art Show... Tomorrow!

Oh yeah! This will be a good one! 8 artist take on the title "Broken Hearts Are For Assholes" which was actually Bob's, (Brett), idea based off of Frank Zappa's song. I love the lyrics. Not a big Zappa fan but it sounds good. words. :)

Anyhoo... I did some new little arts for the show! Smaller ones that will be fun for people to connect with. Face it, we've all broken or been broken hearts so no one should be confused.

I did some more small stencils and drawings on rad found wood and other wood shapes ! Here's a few I did today! Yay! New art!





And as always, my pieces will be priced to sell. I rather people be able to come to the show and leave with some thing than try and market myself all ridiculously priced. I have a job friends. Not dependent on my art. I do it because I love it! And I like to share... so come get some!

Oh oh.... and I did some teeny tiny art! Mini art pieces that will be for sale as well!!


I'll probably put some ribbon on them or something! They are only about 5 inches high!
